When you make a donation or contribute to United Way through your workplace, you ARE making a difference right here in Tillamook County.

3 Ways to Donate:

1. Make an Online Donation to the United Way
(Online Payment is made via a secure website connection where your information is encrypted and safe when submitted)

2. Send a One-Time Donation to the Tillamook County United Way.

3. Donate to the Tillamook County United Way via Payroll Deduction through your place of work.
Did you Know:  Donations to the United Way are fully tax deductible under current IRS rules. We will send you a receipt letter upon receiving your donation.

Each year, your generous donations help do all of these things:

Caring for Kids:  4,000 - 5,000 kids receive nurturing care.

Strengthening Families:  2,500 - 3,000 families grow stronger.

Assisting People in Crisis:  2,000 - 3,000 people are helped in their time of crisis and need.

Promoting Self-Sufficiency:  1,000 - 1,500 households are helped toward greater self-reliance and safety.

Promoting Health and Wellness:  5,000 -  6,000 people are helped, served and educated toward greater health and wellness.

These are the kinds of things your donations can provide:

$5 buys a softball for a developmentally disabled person to use in Special Olympics with the help of the Tillamook Association for Retarded Citizens.

$10 provides a scholarship for a child to take part in a special activity at the Tillamook County Family YMCA.

$15 gives a working single mom 3 - 4 hours of child care at either TELC (Tillamook Early Learning Center) or Cedar Creek Child Care Center.

$20 buys 10 hot, nutritious meals to seniors using North Coast Senior Services' Meals on Wheels Program.

$24 gives an elderly person a month of in-home services such as friendly visiting through compassionate, trained Faith in Action volunteers.

$50 provides curriculum, special activities, and a great preschool experience for a child at any of the 3 Head Start Centers in Tillamook County.

$100 can buy about 700 pounds of emergency food for hungry families at the Tillamook Food Bank.

$200 makes it possible for newborn babies in Tillamook County to receive a home visit, and for the parents to receive specialized parent training and follow-up care through the Healthy Families program.

$250 will provide a homeless family of 3 with a tent, tarp and sleeping bags to use for shelter.

$25 give a single mom a half a day of child care, $40 gives a full day of child care for an infant....or use $6/hr. Better yet, $150 gives a month of preschool to a child that is preparing to enter kindergarten.
